Amaka 2.

Chapter 2 of my story “Amaka ” is here! !!πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘ * playing the Kong *
Are you following ?.if you aren’t you should.  If you are….πŸ‘Šhere..😘😘 you rock!!
So, chapter one we got to find out who Amaka is, a young girl who denounces God after her father dies, why?
Well, because her parents are both christains and followed the God  and his words through and through, the pages of “I shall not die but live to declare the words of the glory of God in my generations ecetera playing in her head. The ” God will protect us, keep us and provide for us”  a constant in the house. So how was she to understand that that same God they all spoke about couldn’t do something as little as “saving” her poor father from dying.
He died of cancer by the way. A once rich man, a scientist,  a booming company and mansions scattered all over the place was reduced to bones and grey, dies a painful death and before his body decomposes in the ground, he was kicked off from being president of his company,  everything. .I mean everything taken from her and her mother, and they were left to a few boxes, their name and no were to go but back to the village.
But the day her father died, was the day she stopped believing in fairy tales.. “God is not alife!! God doesn’t exist. He is just just a figment of men’s imaginations. Stories told to children to scare them to submission and men to mend their ways. There is no God, no demon. No heaven and definitely no hell. You live you live, you die you die. God? Believe him … does he have a face? Does he speak? Does he do anything?  Is he real? Just like ghosts..he doesn’t exists. There is no God if not he wouldnt have let my father..die. I don’t believe in it. To hell with it…to hell with this” she rips the bible, throwing it away, as she cried outside, her chest about to explode while her father’s limb body remained on the hospital bed as her mother wailed and cried, rolling on the floor. She had spent days and weeks crying and fasting, going to church, nothing had changed..
“Stop praying mama!!! She had  screamed at her mother before she ran out of the room.
Amaka was determined to live her life to the fullest, her hate for the God and mention of religion evident. She blames her mother for everything.  She hated her even more when she askes her to pray and believe in God, she wanted out. If her mother dies too, she wouldn’t mind. She wants to take her jewels and what ever expensive thing her mother still held onto, she doesn’t care. She is a excited about school resuming, she is looking forward to it.
The life and freedom to party, to slay, to explore; to experiment, the men, the youthful exuberance,  the waywardness. She had been too reserved,  she was willing to give it all up. The party her friend Ngozi is inviting her for is is a good place to start, and if she meets a nice looking hunk, who is loaded,  all the better. She needed to get away from her mother and her God.
Now,…lets see how Amaka goes on this journey of self discovery,  the life of carelessness, getting to a crossroad, regrets,  mistakes, pains…to admittance,  religion and then God.
You know how we do it…
